Dear colleagues,

it is our great honour and pleasure to invite you to the 19th Nursing Conference and 5th Health Professions Conference Global Nursing and Health Care that will be held on 04-05 June 2020 at the Amadria Park Congress Centre in Opatija.

Following current trends in health care and the education of health professionals, and in accordance with the priorities from the field of health care during Croatia’s presidency of the Council of the EU, this year the conference topics are the following:

  • Care for the elderly
  • Interdisciplinary care for the transplanted patient
  • Holistic approach to oncology patient care
  • New technologies and innovations in health care
  • Trends in the education of health professionals

This year’s 19th conference will be an opportunity for the exchange of knowledge and experiences of nurses, physiotherapists, occupational therapists, environmental health engineers, bachelors of medical laboratory diagnostics, and radiological technologists on current topics from health care and education of health professionals. Prominent experts on education and health care will give their contribution to the conference through keynote lectures and panel discussions on the main topics of the conference.

Information

Forms of participation

At the conference, participants can present original basic and applied research papers, as well as theoretical, review, and methodological papers from the fields related to the topic of the conference.

Accepted paper abstracts are presented in the form of e-posters. All posters will be presented in an electronic form (e-posters) on screens. The posters will be presented on the main conference screen and screens in the room for viewing posters.

 

Preparation and formatting of abstracts

The abstract should be written in standard Croatian or English language. The abstracts that significantly deviate from the standards of the abovementioned languages will not be included in the review process. The abstract should have between 1500 to 2000 characters with spaces, which does not include the title of the paper, the name of the author, and the name of the institution. If the paper presents the results of a research, the abstract should have the usual structure, with the aim, methods, results, and the conclusion. In theoretical, review, and methodological papers, abstracts should clearly indicate the content that provides a general overview of the topic, important parts of the content, and the conclusion and implications.

Three to five keywords should be stated following the abstract on the same page.

The deadline for abstract submission is 24 February 2020.

 

Presentation of abstracts – E-posters

At the conference, posters will be presented as e-posters on screens. The posters will be presented on the main conference screen and screens in the room for viewing posters.

 

Preparation of e-posters

Once the abstract is accepted, it is necessary to prepare an e-poster. You can prepare and save this poster in a JPEG file or PowerPoint (.ppt or .pptx) format.

 

Posters saved as JPEG files
– the dimensions of the E-POSTER must be in landscape format (16:9) of not less than 1920 × 1080 pixels.
– the file size must be less than 10 MB.

 

E-POSTERS in the PowerPoint format and saved as .ppt or .pptx files
– E-POSTERS must contain ONLY ONE SLIDE on which the full poster content is displayed.
– Please use fonts compatible with PC and Mac operating systems (Arial, Courier New, Georgia, Helvetica, Times, Times New Roman)
– E-POSTERS must be in the landscape format (16:9).

Other rules and information
Payment of the registration fee is a prerequisite for the acceptance of papers and inclusion in the conference program.

The Expert Committee will review the submitted abstracts and decide on their acceptance in the form of e-posters.

Notification of paper acceptance will be sent to the authors by 28 February 2020.

Conference Proceedings will be published in the electronic form before the start of the conference.

Single rooms  : 680 kn – per person
Double rooms : 470 kn – per person

Hotels are assigned based on their availability on the day of your application, and are filled on the “first come, first served” basis.
  • The price listed above includes the following: accommodation and half board (rich buffet breakfast and rich buffet dinner), use of the hotel pool, VAT.
  • It is not possible to exchange dinner for lunch.
  • Resident fee is 10 kn per person per day and is paid to the agency during application.
  • The price of an additional meal in the form of a buffet lunch (daily menu) is 150 kn per person per meal.
  • Conference parking fee in the hotel garage: 90 kn per vehicle per day (paid at the reception desk before departure). Reservation is not necessary.
  • Reservation of accommodation is considered to be confirmed only after payment.
